I didn't go to school today

because i couldn't get out of bed.
i knew that if i had to go to school i wouldn't ever get out of bed.
so i chose not to go to school so that i could get out of bed.

and so i did get out of bed and spent the afternoon doing irrelevent things.
then met susie for dinner and yoga class.
yoga class today was impossible. because it was all inverted. and though i'm the most flexible girl in the world i have neither strength nor balance. so i can't do the basic headstand much less the tripodstand the handstand the knucklestand the scorpion etc etc impossibility. but i'm trying hard. and one day i'll boast about how i can.
then supper and walked home.
will spend tonight doing irrelevent things too.

i needed this break.
and tomorrow i will resume working furiously.

my name in the show is 小谊 and i'm a social worker.
we shot from 12pm till 3pm. then 6pm till 10pm. today.


this was taken during one of the setups for the scene where the characters go to bbq a duck in the middle of the afternoon.
(yes wtf)
the next scene took place at minds.

what was interesting about today was the director.
because when i first met her when she was an assistant producer.
but now she's a director.
the magic is in watching people you know rise in status.

what was also interesting about today was phyllis quek.
because i used to adore phyllis quek way back in the mid 90s when i was still in the phase of liking tcs serials.
i remember liking her not merely because she is pretty but also because i read somewhere that she grew up with her grandma.
10 years have passed since. i no longer watch tv. but i'm still the same person.
i like phyllis quek.

Attended a 2 day workshop with "crazy, indie, badboy director"

Khavn de la Cruz and his cinematographer and editor.
on monday : lecture. got grouped. went to geylang. shot/watched ge tai. shot/ate a durian.
on tuesday : lecture. time allocated for editing. presentation of short films.
we had to group with students from lasalle and rp and make a short film by the end of the 2 days.
conceptialising was fun i guess. shooting was fun i guess. then my groupmates wanted to edit and i wanted to go for salsa class. so we all did what we wanted. and now i feel obligated to re-edit the darned thing just to regain my dignity.
it just sucks that my name is on it because i would never make a film with such a bad story and i don't want people thinking that i did.

i hate compulsory collaboration.
and i think i'm growing a taste for ge tais.

My body is dead

because today i went for body jam and pilates at fitness first paragon with peach.
then walked to my gramps place.
then walked home.
plus i went for yoga class on thursday.
plus i went for salsa fusion class on tuesday.
plus i walked home on monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, saturday.
so my body is now dead.

but before it died,
i went to watch a gor tai show with my cousins
after the ghost food dinner at our gramps.

Today was supposed to be do kimarie website day

but i woke at 4pm.
then susie dangled a free ticket to the way of air in my face.
so of course i went to watch the way of air at the esplanade at 8pm.
then sat around eating and talking and smoking and drinking till 4am.
got home at 5am.
and never did any kimarie website.
now i'm plagued by guilt.

but i did like the way of air by post ego dance company, korea.
i liked the cluster of nude butts.
and i realised i like watching men dance.
i liked.
but i'm still plagued by guilt.

who moved to hk forever 1.5 months ago came back to sg for 2.5 days.
so of course we had to have a meal together.
so of course we had to take a photo together.

Introducing Peach

whom i went to meet first thing this morning (my morning your afternoon).

went for my first salsa fusion class today and the instructor turned out to be the guy that had been sitting on the other side of me at asian film history class yesterday.
i had never seen this guy ever and now i've seen him two days in a row.
how come?

also finned the english version of the kimarie website today.
tried it out on a pc for the first time and it looked alot prettier on my mac i swear.
but i'm showing it tomorrow anyway.
because i have to pay $3149 in school fees by 30august and i don't have it.
